Soap Dishes - When Sham Shui Po meets Kaohsiung, Part II
This collection is an extension of When Sham Shui Po meets Kaohsiung series. I designed the soap dishes with lace patterns imprinted at the bottom to prevent soap residue from sticking, which can be a hassle to clean. When creating everyday objects, balancing practicality with aesthetics is always keys.

Zoe draws inspiration from everyday utilitarian objects, reinventing them with a feminine touch by incorporating found materials such as fabrics and natural elements. Her work transforms the ordinary into something playful and humorous.
Her name, Xia (夏)comes from the character in belated Hong Kong writer XiXi’s short story A Girl Like Me (西西,像我這樣的一個女子) - a character who is joyful, sincere, optimistic and persistent, always wearing a sunny smile, thus the name 夏.
